CEO Shah Karim elected President of Yale Club in NJ

One year ago, Friends of Yale from Industry (FYI) started as a response to the global pandemic to help Yale students find opportunities for professional development inspired by Dean Chun and Dean Cooley. Marvin Chun’s call on April 27th, 2020 began our journey and we were inspired by Lynn Cooley’s immediate and enthusiastic support for us and the vision of One Yale.We build bridges from Industry to Yale University, with the unifying concept of 'One Yale'.We work in close collaboration with Yale’s Office of Career Strategy to bring an expanding group of alumni, Yale faculty, and administrators to make it easier for the private sector and non-profit organizations to proactively engage with the University. As seen in the FYI Board Annual Report 2021, over a dozen roles were created for Yale students by seven organizations across four industry sectors. Further, novel partnership models for joint research and development have evolved.omentum is building to expand the number of unique professional development opportunities for Yale students.
