SafeRock Participates in the 2023 World Petrochemical Conference
On March 20th-24th, SafeRock participated in the 2023 World Petrochemical Conference hosted by S&P Global Commodity Insights. The convocation saw industry leaders and government officials come together for a productive session of sharing insights and discussing solutions to critical strategic issues facing the global petrochemical industry. SafeRock CEO Shah Karim joined Head of Strategic Commodities for S&P Global Commodity Insights Deb Ryan and Texas State Climatologist John Neilsen-Gammon in leading a Fireside Chat on “The intersection of climate and economics.” In the discussion, Karim and Gammon shared their thoughts on the most significant risks relating to climate change within the petrochemical industry and offered advice on how to mitigate them. Approaching it from a business perspective, Karim suggested companies should “build the bridges where we need to have them, ensure compliance, as well as governance, to improve lives.” “We need a proactive transition compass..for markets, capitals, and companies,” he went on. “Capital preservation requires thoughtful risk management…And that’s what we dedicate ourselves to at SafeRock: improving clarity in the midst of risk and even chaos.”
